Team Educate is proud to represent an inclusive school in the Coventry area who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Instructor to join their team. As a Food Technology Instructor, you will have the opportunity to educate and inspire students, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities as a Food Technology Instructor:

– Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
– Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
– Use various teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop educational materials and strategies
– Provide individualised support to students who require extra assistance

What you will need to be successful in this role:

– Experience of teaching, coaching or mentoring students ideally in a Food Technology/Catering role
– An in-depth understanding of Health and Safety and utilising Risk Assessments to minimise risk within the classroom setting
– Knowledge of practices within Special Education and strategies to engage and support pupils with Autism
– Strong mentoring and communication skills
– The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
– A relevant Teaching qualification such as QTS/QTLS, CertEd or DTTLS(preferred)
– An Enhanced DBS which is registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to process a new one.
