Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for PPA KS1 cover

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to covering KS1 PPA sessions at a lovely school in Bristol. This will be a 3 day a week position starting from Monday 16th April 2021 until 22nd July 2021. The required days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. You will be responsible for relieving each call teacher for the designated PPA cover. You will be working throughout Key Stage 1 and Early Years.

This is a busy school and will be likely to keep you busy elsewhere in the school on the remaining 1 day you are not contracted to be covering PPA lessons. There is also the possibility for this to be extended into September 2021 for the next academic year or considered for another role, within the school.

As the role will require teaching, candidates must hold a HLTA qualification or Qualified Teacher Status. If you are an NQT who is looking to secure a position within a school, this could be the perfect position for you!

To be eligible for this position, you are required to have the following:

  • Experience within a primary school
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification (HLTA)
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references that can be contacted
