Creative Teaching Assistant (SEND Support)
Are you a creative soul with a passion for helping others?
Do you have a background in art, drama, music, or similar fields?
Perhaps you’ve worked in care, youth work, or volunteered to make a difference in your community.
If you’re open-minded, a creative problem-solver, and have a natural ability to think outside the box, we want YOU to join our team!
We are looking for a Creative Teaching Assistant to support our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with ASD, ADHD, and other individual learning needs. You’ll work closely with teachers to enhance the classroom experience, bringing your unique talents and energy to make learning accessible, fun, and engaging for every student.
What We’re Looking For:
- A sense of humour—because learning should be fun!
- Positivity—even on challenging days, your optimism shines.
- Flexibility—you’re ready to adapt and try new approaches.
- Creativity—your background in the arts helps you think on your feet, offering fresh ideas and strategies.
Why Your Creative Skills Matter:
Your experience in the creative field offers powerful transferrable skills that can thrive in the classroom setting. For example:
- Improvisation from Drama: Your ability to think quickly and adapt in the moment will be invaluable in supporting students who need alternative learning methods or a change in routine. Whether it’s creating a role-play to explain a concept or coming up with a new behaviour management strategy, your drama skills will make the classroom dynamic and engaging.
- Artistic Expression: Your experience in art can help students express themselves in non-verbal ways, especially those who find traditional forms of communication challenging. You’ll guide them in creative activities that foster confidence, independence, and emotional well-being.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome anyone who has worked in care, youth work, voluntary roles, or classrooms—particularly if you’ve supported young people with SEND. Previous successful candidates have come from a variety of creative and care-focused backgrounds, using their unique perspectives to enhance the learning environment.
This role is perfect if you’re ready to explore a new career path that flexes your creativity and inspires others. You’ll be making a direct impact on young people’s lives, helping them thrive in ways they may never have thought possible.
If you’re ready to be part of something truly rewarding and challenging, where your creativity is celebrated, apply now to become a Creative Teaching Assistant! Let’s create, inspire, and make a difference together.
