Team Educate are seeking dedicated Secondary School Teachers to join our team and inspire students to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to create a positive learning environment for students in their subject specialism.
Working on a casual basis, you will be a qualified teacher who is able to work temporarily in a range of school settings. Our schools often require qualified teachers to work on a day-to-day basis to cover short-term absence, as well as teachers to cover longer-term positions throughout the academic year.
Flexible teaching contracts offer plenty of flexibility around your current schedule and offer scope for permanent positions in the future. If you are open to either day-to-day or longer-term cover, we’d love to have a conversation with you about working with us and our schools!
Flexible Secondary School Teachers will receive:

Flexible Secondary School Teacher Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum (planning is often completed by the main class teacher)
– Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom environment
– Educate students aged between 11-18 in your subject specialism, at times being responsible in preparing pupils for upcoming GCSE and A Level exams and vocational qualifications
– Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs (SEND)
– Communicate effectively with other staff members and the leadership team when required
– Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress (if on a longer-term contract)
Qualifications required to be a Flexible Secondary School Teacher:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE in teaching your chosen subject, as well as a Degree in a related field
– Proven experience in teaching secondary school students in your subject and excellent subject knowledge
– Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
– Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
– Passion for education and a commitment to the holistic development of children
