Maths and English Tutors required to provide 1:1 session with Y11 Children in Care in Bristol.
Team Educate are working with the local authority to provide 1:1 tuition for Year 11 GCSE Students in Maths and English. We require Maths and English tuition to 20 students on a weekly basis. Each child will require at least 1 hour of Maths and English per week from September 2021 – May 2022
The session will take place after school at the young learner’s home address or a school setting. You would be responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with a young person in Secondary who has been identified as requiring additional support to help achieve their desired level. You would be required to have good subject knowledge in Maths and / or English and confident in planning and delivering lessons for this subject(s).
We require the tutors to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or degree equivalent. You will have the option to work with 1 or multiple children providing each child with 1 hour tuition per week. The timings can be flexible to work around prior commitments the tutor may have but we would ideally be looking for the tutoring to take place between 3.30 – 5.30 (Monday – Friday). Lessons will normally be 1 hour long but could be extended due to the need of the child.
About the role:
- After school tuition in Maths / English or both
- Working with Year 11 GCSE pupils
- 1 hour – 2 hours per day
- Pay rate £25 – £30 per hour
- September 2021 – May 2022
- You will be delivering core subject lessons to bridge the gap in their learning and support the pupils’ emotional needs
- Most of the pupils will have SEND needs so we require tutors with experience of working with young people with a range of different needs and abilities
