Primary School Tutor required for 1:1 tutoring with a KS2 child in PL19. 

We are looking for a qualified primary teacher with KS2 experience to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who is currently out of education. The role is due to start as soon as possible and would consist of providing 2 hours tutoring per day / 10 hours a week (Monday – Friday) during school hours. This position is due to continue for a considerable amount of time and the hours could also be extended. As well as this position, we do have a lof of hours so also have the possibility to offer more hours, with other students.

These session will need to be done in person, in PL19 at the pupils care address.

We are always looking for a Teachers and Tutor around Devon, Cornwall and North Somerset as we work with the local authoity and require tutors to provide tutoring to their children in care.

About the role:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Pay rate £25 – £30 per hour
  • Hours – 2 hours per day / 10 hours per week (during school hours)
  • You will be delivering core primary subjects (Maths, Science and English)  supporting the pupils emotional needs
  • The child will have SEND needs so we require tutors with experience of working with young people with a range of different needs and abilities

To be eligible for this position, you are required to have the following:

  • School / Tutor experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status of degree equivalent
  • Good subject knowledge in Maths, English and Science / Primary
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references that can be contacted
