Supply Primary Teachers needed across Newport and Caerphilly

We are seeking applications from qualified and experienced Primary School Teachers for work in a range of temporary, long-term and permanent positions across Newport and Caerphilly.

As former teachers, we know the importance of finding your perfect position to flourish in your role. That’s why we’ll take the time to get to know you, your experience, and your unique requirements to ensure we only put you forward for roles that align fully with these. We know that it takes passion, enthusiasm and dedication to ensure that teaching is of the best standard, and we work hard to place you in the setting that allows you to show your best.

Working with a range of schools and settings, we place both experienced teachers and ECTs in mainstream, SEN and AP settings. If you’re looking for a new role and would like to trial it first, a temporary position can often lead to a full-time, permanent position for the right candidate. Alternatively, if you are looking to dive headfirst into a long-term position, we are often aware of these before they hit public job boards.

Registering with us is simple! We’d love to hear from you if you have any of the following:

Requirements of Supply Primary Teachers:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience of teaching in primary schools, either through employment or placements if you are an ECT
  • A strong understanding of current curriculum requirements at primary key stages
  • The determination to succeed in your desired role, with a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and honing your craft in your new school
  • The ability to get stuck-in, building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Duties of Supply Primary Teachers:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND
  • Educate students in core subjects while promoting critical thinking and creativity
  • Establish a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to academic development and positive wellbeing
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively for learning, whilst engaging and enthusing pupils across all subjects
  • Communicate with parents and other staff members regarding student progress, reporting and escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
