Here at Team Educate, we’re currently in search of exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants for schools located in the Bath area. The role is tailor-made for individuals who possess a strong desire and heartfelt dedication to nurturing the potential of learners within the classroom. Teaching Assistant roles offer lots of flexibility and versatility. We work with a range of different schools in the area and can offer you work in a setting that suits you.

Our in-house team of teachers can offer you support and guidance if this is your first role in education.

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who may need additional help
  • Monitor student behaviour and respond appropriately to challenging behaviour
  • Offer emotional and wellbeing support for pupils who indicate stress
  • Assist in implementing support as per individual pupils’ Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs)

Successful SEN Teaching Assistants should have:

  • Previous experience of working with/supporting young learners.
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or a willingness to submit a new application.
  • References from your last 2 years of employment from a professional domain
