Team Educate are seeking a reliable Science Teacher to cover long-term absence at our partner school in East Birmingham.
Are you a dedicated Science Teacher with a desire to provide high quality learning for secondary school pupils? Do you have Science teaching experience and are looking to develop your skills in a new challenging role? Are you newly qualified and looking for your first Science Teacher role? If so, Team Educate would love to hear from you!
Our partner school is a small secondary school with a welcoming, family feel, where ‘everyone looks out for each other’. Working there on supply would offer you excellent support from their current teaching and support staff to allow you to develop your own skills in delivering the Science curriculum to both KS3 and 4. Therefore, previous experience of teaching up to GCSE level is desirable but, more importantly, we are looking for the right attitude when it comes to motivating the class and fostering a genuine love of the subject.
If you are keen to embark on your first full-time teaching role, or are a seasoned Science Teacher looking for a change of scenery in a new school setting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The successful Science Teacher will benefit from:
- The opportunity to secure longer term employment by making a positive impression.
- A supportive and encouraging school environment that wants the best for its pupils and staff.
- Gaining valuable experience of working with a range of learners and abilities as a full-time Science Teacher.
- A competitive daily pay rate of £140-£190, depending on your experience.
- Support from an agency of experienced teaching professionals to support you in beginning your new role.
The successful Science Teacher will require:
- A teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A background within a relevant Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)
- The ability to quickly build a strong rapport with students.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Experience teaching Science up to GCSE level.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain a full-time, permanent role with a school that suits you, or to gain valuable experience before your next role. We’d love to hear from you if you’re keen to get stuck into your first Science Teacher role or are looking to apply your experience to make a real difference in the lives of children in the local area.
Please submit your CV to register your interest and we will give you a call to discuss the opportunity and the school in more detail. We look forward to hearing from you!
