The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning, development, and well-being of students with SEN. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities, ensure the classroom is a safe and engaging space, and provide one-to-one or group support for students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their individual learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities.

  • Working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to support their learning.

  • Assisting with the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and ensuring students’ needs are met.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting social interaction within the classroom.

  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

  • Supporting students with personal care and mobility, where necessary.

  • Helping to create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet students’ holistic needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

  • Experience working within an SEN environment, ideally with children with a range of additional needs.

  • A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to supporting students with complex needs.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.

  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
