SEND Teaching Assistant

As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant, you will have the joy of working with a variety of needs and backgrounds every day. This role is suitable for someone who has experience as a Teaching Assistant or has previously worked as a Youth Worker, within the Care sector or with SEN children.

Your daily duties would include checking in with students in the morning, ensuring they are regulated and ready for school, supporting them with their classwork – be it differentiating the existing classwork or assisting them with ideas, supporting their learning or helping with spellings. Additionally, regular communication with other members of staff, parents and carers in a professional and approachable manner.

Safeguarding is of the utmost importance – so prior knowledge or qualifications is desirable.
